If You Love Someone, Then Show, Don’t Tell

We have a tendency to take those we love for granted. We tell them we love them, and maybe we show them we do with flowers and gifts. But the real showing of love and affection should be showing them compassion, empathy, generosity, forgiveness, acceptance, tolerance, consideration, thoughtfulness. When we don’t do this, the relationship often decays into something that is unsatisfying, leaving us bitter and resentful. Best we keep our love for our loved ones in the forefront of our minds and let them know on a daily basis how grateful and blessed we feel having them in our lives.
