Where Does Forgiveness Rank On Your “To Do” List?

Amidst all the things we wish to do and accomplish, all the things we intend to set into motion, amidst all of our proactivity and reactivity, all our creating, manifesting, building and amassing, amidst all these things we wish to do today, if forgiveness or some form of it (acceptance, love, tolerance, compassion, grace, generosity, truth) is not embraced as well, is not entwined with all these other priorities and purposes, then there will be the absence of a magnificent synergy that will sooner or later lead you to be disappointed with what you have achieved. All of our actions must be infused with love, acceptance and forgiveness. Unity of purpose is our mission. Unity of function is our goal. Unity of Humanity is the Only Solution. Every day we celebrate the return to One-ness.

My father died last August leaving behind a wife of 18 years who he married after my mother died. My sisters and I have never had a good relationship with her; we put up with her so we could be around our father. She was the first person I decided to forgive when I started putting Forgive To Win into application in my life, and what a weight off of my shoulders it has been, what a physical and mental relief!
Well, now we children are having to do some legal wrangling over my dad’s estate and will because she wants to have a much of his estate as she can get, but I have decided not to “play her game.” I have decided to work as hard as I can for my sisters and myself to get what we believe was our dad’s intent in the will and his estate plan, but I believe that I can do it and still forgive his wife.
It’s kind of like what Jesus said on the cross, “Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do.” She doesn’t realized that you get what you give in life, and that the person with the most of anything in this physical realm isn’t the winner. Jesus also said, “Where your treasure is there will your heart be, also.” I will remember that “when you strive for anything in this world in the belief it will bring you peace, you are belittling yourself and blinding yourself to glory.”
