The Problem With Thanksgiving

The problem with Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays, etc. is that we go out of our way on these particular days to be considerate, loving and grateful. And then the next day we revert back to being thoughtless, inconsiderate, unloving, taking our loved ones for granted, and being caught up in ourselves. As long as we relegate selfless acts of gratitude and love to a handful of days a year we can be sure that our world will continue to be a mockery of the heaven on earth it could be. Bottom line: Take time every day to find ways to enrich the lives of others. Take time every day to love ye one another. http://forgivetowin.com

thanks, david. appreciate the feedback and support.
Perfect timing. How about all the stores that are open midnight to one p.m. with doorbuster prices on all kinds of merchandise … on Thanksgiving!!! The message this year is to shop, shop. shop and get the best deals ever. Oh, yeah, and give thanks for THE BEST DEALS EVER!
That’s what Thanksgiving celebration has been reduced to this year. It’s sickening and deplorable. If this pattern continues within the following years then the true meaning and purpose of Thanksgiving will be lost completely. It’s bad enough that our behavior reverts back to inconsideration, me-me-me and boorishness on non-holiday days but now with this new
sales evolution (not to mention the growing Hallmark concession), then we can kiss even the
sacred holiday days farewell. A home run for Corporate America.
well put. thanks for sharing your thoughts.
