Years ago a co-worker was in the hospital dying of AIDS. We didn’t like each other but I went to see him to help lift his spirits. Before entering his room I decided I wouldn’t see his illness, I would see a human being deserving of love. We spent an exhilarating hour together laughing & sharing the joy of our lives. In that brief time we brought each other closer to God. Have you experienced a miracle in your life?

One time, I got a phone call. The voice on the other end of the phone was pale and terrified. Words barely could come out, and this person was at a total loss.
I said, “You need to find a place to stay, don’t you?”
The silence was deafening. This person broke down and cried, and later told me that those were the sweetest words ever heard…at a very monumental time…..a memory never, ever to be forgotten.
All I did was listen. I didn’t listen to the words that were said. I listened to everything else that was unsaid. It brought us closer to God and His Plan in our lives, like a little miracle had been sprinkled upon us.
A wonderful story, Margaret. Thank you for sharing it.
