If Happiness is the Mission, Stay Positive

“Accentuate the positive” is more than a catchy cliche or song lyric. It is wisdom. It is therapeutic. It is self-actualizing. It contributes substantially to the foundation of one’s happiness and success.

A corollary of this: As best you can, turn every negative into a positive. As best you can, eliminate negative words from your vocabulary. Rather than saying “Don’t…”, find a way to express the same core message you desire by saying “Do…”. When we re-frame our messages in this way, they are more likely to be heard.

The Authenticity of Being

Last year I met Ruben James, a fellow spiritual traveler and teacher, when he agreed to partner with me in the launching of my book, Forgive To Win!.

Sometime after that, he offered me a free session during which he would guide me through a “Quantum Experience” — essentially a guided imagery technique that takes one within, to discover one’s Inner Voice, one’s truth, one’s mission and authenticity, and to help one eliminate the internal blocks and barriers getting in the way of one’s success.

I took him up on his offer and he guided me through a powerful internal experience during which I got incredibly clear on my mission, my life’s purpose and what I needed to do.

Our Thoughts Create Our Reality

It is my belief in illusions that makes them real. So hypnotized with the belief that I am a body born to die, so identified with my ego, an invention of my frightened Mind, I have forgotten who I really Am: Pure Consciousness. Eternal Spirit. Immortal and invulnerable. With the power of Love within me to create reality. With the power of love within me to move mountains, to turn water into wine, to fill endless barrels with bread and fish, to heal the sick and raise the dead.

Purpose, Passion, Practice, Persistence. Step Up To The Plate & Give It Your Best Shot

Many people are afraid to go after their dreams, to take action, to implement…. out of fear that they will fail, look stupid, feel shamed, and have to acknowledge that they weren’t good enough… Bottom line: You won’t know if you don’t go. Yes you may strike out and that would be painful, but you’ve got no chance of hitting a home run unless you step up to the plate. The other consideration:

End Self-Sabotaging Behaviors Getting in the way of your Happiness, Success & Inner Peace

Most of us don’t get what we want in our lives because we sabotage ourselves: We procrastinate. We resist. We don’t follow through. We don’t do the things that we know are in our best interests. The end result is a life of unfulfillment and disappointment. It doesn’t have to be that way. When we eliminate the guilt, shame, and self-loathing deeply-embedded in our unconscious mind which generate our self-destructive, self-defeating behaviors, our world changes for the better: We start attracting people and circumstances that cooperate with our goals and propel us towards the manifestation of all our hopes and dreams. The way to eliminate our guilt, shame, and self-loathing is to esteem ourselves and forgive ourselves. The way to esteem ourselves and forgive ourselves is to esteem and forgive others. Forgive To Win!’s Forgiveness Diet is a structured program that teaches us how to do this. It’s not complicated. And it works! By consistently practicing a daily regimen of thoughts, actions and exercises devoted to accepting, forgiving and being of service to others, our self-esteem increases, our self-sabotaging behaviors decrease, and we experience greater opportunities and more positive outcomes in all realms of our lives. http://amzn.to/v4Xx1q

Why Should I Forgive? The Birth of a New Year’s Resolution.

I’ve been asked why I’m passionate about teaching forgiveness. It’s because all religious, spiritual and metaphysical roads I’ve traveled have led me here, to this one Truth borrowed from A Course In Miracles: I forgive others for my own peace of mind.

In my late twenties I read the Bible, the Old and New Testament, for the first time. Although I was impressed with the transformation of God’s consciousness from the Old Testament God of anger, judgment, vengeance and war to the New Testament God of peace, love, acceptance, charity and forgiveness, I was more impressed with the implications of several thought-provoking Biblical comments:

What Can The Stock Market Teach Us About Impulsivity and Decision Making?

The volatility of the stock market in recent months, from one day to the next, indicates to me that people are overreacting to information that is received on a daily basis to such a degree that they make impulsive buying and selling decisions that have little to do with the long-term financial reality they are facing. The same is true of people in general. We tend to behave in similar impulsive ways in our lives, our careers and our relationships. We act first and then later think about what we did, rather than taking the time to think first, to look at the bigger picture, to look at all the implications and possible consequences of our actions.

Do You Have The Life That You Want and Does Depression Have Anything To Do With It?

People often say they are too depressed to do the things they want to do. But sometimes it’s because they haven’t done the things they want to do and have allowed their lives to stagnate that depression begins and gradually builds over time until the depression seems to be the cause of the inertia in their lives rather than the result of it.
