On Halloween, if you give people a treat, you tend to not get tricked. With my Forgiveness Diet, if you give people a treat — if you treat them with respect, compassion, acceptance and forgiveness and engage in estimable acts of kindness towards them, you tend to not get tricked. More to the point, when you treat people well, you not only tend not to get tricked, you tend to get treated well in return.
